Went to upgrade my mobile phone today at Carphone Warehouse, after 8 years I’ve gone back to Motorola as there weren’t many decent Nokias available on pay-as-you-go. Opted for the lovely flat and lightweight MOTOSLVRTM L7 in Red, tested it out, seems easy enough to use and buttons aren’t cheap plastic like something off an old Austin Metro dashboard as is so often the case with many other mobile phones.
The ‘redness’ (other than looking very cool) means that £5 of the £99 fee is donated to the ‘The Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa’. A portion of my normal call charges will be contributed to The Global Fund too - so the more calls I make the more they make. Shame I won’t be using the new SIM that came with it but whoever I sell it to will be helping to support that cause on an ongoing basis instead.
