Since I started this blog I’ve had one or two people tell me that they wanted to be alerted whenever somebody posts a comment on an article. On both occasions I’ve explained about the RSS feeds already in place, but it did make me realise that maybe it deserved a further explanatory entry. In addition I have set up an email subscriber service in the right hand menu. If you enter your email address in the box you will receive an email each time I write a new entry - a handy alternative to RSS feed use.
To make use of the RSS feeds simply download Feedreader and install it on your computer. When you are done, open it up and go to ‘File’ and then choose ‘New Feed’ then enter one of the two Firetop RSS feed URLs depending upon what you want to keep track of:
Latest Entries from Matt: http://www.firetop.co.uk/feed/
Latest Comments on Entries: http://www.firetop.co.uk/comments/feed/
Feedreader will then automatically keep you updated on the latest entries and/or comments being posted on firetop.co.uk. Of course you don’t have to use Feedreader, you could choose any other RSS reading solution and add RSS feeds from lots of other websites too such as the BBC or CNN etc.
