As I type this evening there’s a new addition to my left hand - a wedding ring blessed by god and placed there by my new wife Suellen. Yesterday’s church ceremony went perfectly, the reception was great, hundreds of friends and family showed up, my speech seemed to be well received… and my usual rendition of Engelbert Humperdinck went down a storm. It’s true what they say about your wedding day being the best of your life - it exceeded both of our expectations by a mile.
The wedding planning was the most stressful project I’ve ever been involved in, frantic right up until the last minute. However, it was definitely all worth it… even if it has had a knock on effect on blog postings; I owe several and will endeavour to catch up within the coming week. In the meantime I shall be occupied with a honeymoon - certain to add even more to the backlog of postings! If in doubt, sign up for the blog alert emails in the right hand menu and you’ll receive an email as soon as I start making new posts

I had a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye when my son said his wedding vows. His speech was brilliant, as was the best mans. It was a really great day and I am proud to have such a wonderful son and daughter-in-law.

The wedding was lovely. Bride and bridesmaids looked beautiful and the groom didn’t look too bad either!
The ceremony was lovely the Vic was great and his words gave us all something to think about.

We’ve still got some cake, I forgot to turn the freezer back on after rescuing the mouse this week so we had to take the top layer back out and eat it!
